Geert Broeksteeg is conductor and artistic director of the Eindhoven Oratorio Society since 1990. Geert studied school music and choir conduction at the Arnhem Conservatory from 1980 to 1988. As a choir conductor he studied with Joop Schets and Hans van den Hombergh. After obtaining his diploma Performing Musician Choir Conducting in 1988 he gained experience with various choirs and ensembles. Choir training, voice training, rejuvenation and a broad repertoire are of paramount importance to him. This has led to a large number of concerts in which works such as the St. John Passion, Messiah, Die Schöpfung and various requiems were performed. His craftsmanship and enthusiasm inspire the members who work hard at every rehearsal to make the choir part their own.
Voice training and choir training are recurring elements in his rehearsals and choir days. With his craftsmanship and enthusiasm, he inspires the singers to make the choir parts their own and to ensure that they enter the stage with great confidence.
